Jon Stewart Returns from Break to Discover ‘The World Has Gone Mad!’
Jon Stewart kicked off The Daily Show‘s return tonight by going through all the various catastrophes around the world (on the U.S.-Mexican border, in Iraq, and in Israel), and could only conclude one thing: “the world has gone mad!”
Stewart first took on anti-immigration protestors, one of whom said Jesus, the “radical destroyer of the status quo” (as Stewart put it), would never break the law.
He moved on to the two “catastrophes” in the Middle East: ISIS in Iraq, and the current bombing back-and-forth in Israel. And with Gaza between Israel and the sea, Stewart couldn’t help but wonder exactly where Palestinians are supposed to actually evacuate too.
And with the recent smallpox scare, Stewart said, “Things are so fucked up in our world, that the two happiest places in the world are Germany and Cleveland!”
