Two-time Academy Award nominee Jonah Hill spat a homophobic slur at a paparazzo — they follow Jonah Hill around, now? — over the weekend, and on Tuesday morning the actor took to The Howard Stern Show to apologize.
Hill is supposedly heard on the clip telling the photographer to “Suck my dick, you faggot,” though he might have just been reciting dialogue from Wolf of Wall Street.
“What I said in that moment was a disgusting and hurtful term,” Hill told Stern. “I shouldn’t have said that.”
While being careful to emphasize that he was not excusing his actions, Hill noted that the photographer had been badgering him all day, and by “losing his cool” he finally gave the paparazzo what he wanted.
“I should have said either nothing, or fuck you,” Hill said. “I’m happy to take heat for using this disgusting word. What I won’t allow is for anyone to think, especially with all the work that I’ve done and all the loved ones I have, that I would be against anyone for their sexuality.”
