Jordanian parliament member Mohammed Shawabka finds himself making headlines around the world this week after pulling a gun on lawmaker Mansour Murad during a live TV segment that aired Friday on private satellite channel JoSat.
As a moderator attempted to separate his guests, the two exchanged increasingly heated accusations and insults, with Shawabka claiming Murad is a spy for the Syrian government. Murad responded by accusing Shawabka of being an Israeli spy and a corrupt politician before eventually cursing Shawabka’s father.
It was this comment that evidently put Shawabka over the edge. He first threw a shoe at his adversary before reaching down, taking out a pistol, and waving it at Murad.
