Jorge Ramos to O’Reilly: Not ‘Fair and Balanced’ to Be Tougher on Obama than Bush
Fusion aired Jorge Ramos‘ full interview with Bill O’Reilly last night, and in one part Ramos put O’Reilly on the spot about how his not very “fair and balanced” style of confronting President Obama and George W. Bush.
Ramos told O’Reilly that when he did face off against Bush, he was “kind of weak.” O’Reilly argued he’s tough on Obama because of how much he’s “botching it” on the world stage, and as for Bush, he insisted he was plenty tough. He explained, “I made it quite clear that he and his administration weren’t effectively waging the war in Iraq.”
Ramos shot back that he simply wasn’t tough enough, and “you can do whatever you want, but that’s not fair and balanced.” O’Reilly contended that both presidents aren’t facing “the same situation” and that might explain why he’s being much tougher on Obama for not dealing with all the threats the U.S. faces.
