Joy Behar: Julie Chen Can’t Return to The Talk Until She ‘Comes Clean’ on Husband Les Moonves
Joy Behar doesn’t see how Julie Chen can possibly return to The Talk on CBS unless she “comes clean” on the troubles surrounding her husband, Les Moonves.
The View on Friday discussed how Chen surprised viewers last night by closing out the latest episode of Big Brother by calling herself “Julie Chen-Moonves.” Since this was unusual on Chen’s part, the View panel took it as a sign that she’s standing with her husband despite the fact that he was recently ousted as CEO of CBS over an increasing number of sexual misconduct allegations.
With Chen having been absent from The Talk over the last few days, Behar believes it’s “going to be hard” for her to come back if she cannot acknowledge something as prominent as the #MeToo movement without saying she’s part of it.
“What topics can they do?” Behar asked. “They can’t talk about anything related to relationships unless Julie Chen-Moonves comes clean.”
Sunny Hostin said returning to The Talk would be doubly-hard for Chen after what her co-host Sharon Osbourne said about how her husband has “a problem.”
