Judge Nap: New Jersey’s Abortion Laws Are ‘Regrettably’ The Nation’s Most Liberal

Fox Business Host Judge Andrew Napolitano appeared on Fox News Channel on Wednesday to weigh in on a court ruling in Texas that will allow the state to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood due to their advocacy for abortions. Napolitano said that abortions laws are regulated by the states and the ruling strengthens the state’s control over abortion funding. He noted that New Jersey, his home state, is “regrettably” the most liberal state in terms of their lax, state-funded abortion laws.

In the interview with Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum, Napolitano outlined the details of the court ruling that allows Texas to cut off funding to an institution that the state legislature does not want to fund.

“Does this decision, sort of, tip you off in terms of how this whole scenario is changing for other states,” asked MacCallum.

“In our wonderful home state of New Jersey – a lot of our listeners will be shocked to hear this – abortions are permitted up to the moment of birth,” said Napolitano. “And the state will pay for them.”

“Essentially, abortion is regulated by each of the 50 states,” said Napolitano. “Texas is, obviously, one of the more conservative states. New Jersey is, regrettably, the most liberal.”
