Karl Rove really went off on Fox News this afternoon in response to a celebrity PSA imploring members of the electoral college to reject Donald Trump.
Rove mockingly praised the service and sacrifice of these actors before calling the push “completely phony” and singling out Martin Sheen in particular. He told Neil Cavuto, “I have no respect whatsoever for Martin Sheen.”
He said that Sheen’s condescending “lecturing” is rich, considering what he said in the past about George W. Bush, adding, “This guy is a lunatic.”
But Rove said there’s something “dangerous” here in them trying to undermine the people’s confidence in the system and President-elect Trump.
He also pointed out the irony of this kind of call from people who were outraged at Mitch McConnell saying early on in the Obama administration his goal is to make sure Obama’s a one-term president.
