Kathy Griffin Torches Trump in Expletive-Filled View Rant: Eric and Don Jr. Like ‘Eddie Munster’ And ‘Date Rape’

Comedian Kathy Griffin appeared on The View Monday morning to discuss her recent comeback to the comedy scene after being roundly eviscerated for her depiction of President Donald Trump with his bloody, severed head back in 2017.

Clearly, her condemnation of the commander-in-chief has not abated.

“I’m here. I’m alive. I’m just glad to be alive,” Griffin said. “By the way, I take the apology back. Fuck him.” (Ed. Note: The View dumped out of the broadcast, and the expletive, like all the expletives in this post, did not go out over the air. But all were visibly clear.)

The audience applauded uproariously as Sara Haines uncomfortably said that they’ll have to ding the bell on the table if Griffin cursed again.

“And the sons, Don Jr. and Eric,” she added, seeming not to hear. “Or, as I call them, Eddie Munster and Date Rape.”

The panel shifted to talking about the infamous photo of Griffin and the decapitated Trump head.

“People thought I was in ISIS,” Griffin said of the photo. “I had to spend two hours convincing my mother I have not been recruited by Al-Qaeda.”

“I don’t think they’re taking 57-year-old red-haired Irish-American comedians today,” she quipped.

Griffin went on to say that she regretted apologizing to Trump in the first place.

“I performed in Iraq and Afghanistan, two places Trump has never even been and can’t find on a map,” Griffin said, citing the story of murdered American-Israeli journalist Daniel Pearl and his mother as being the impetus for her apology.

“When I found out that I was really just kind of part of the Trump wood chipper… and I wanted to make a statement about what a misogynist he is,” she said, adding that the First Amendment was important enough for her to continue speaking out.

“I then got a call the next day [after the photo] from the Department of Justice and I was under a two-month federal investigation for conspiracy to assassinate the President of the United States,” she explained. “So fuck him.”

She even said that there were robo-calls to the theaters where she is performing, threatening her.

“They were very specific,” she said. “They wanted to cut my head off, put my head up my hoo-ha, and then shoot me there.”
