Last week, White House senior advisor Stephen Miller mixed it up with CNN correspondent Jim Acosta at a White House press briefing over a GOP immigration policy proposal that would reduce the amount of legal immigration. Miller stated that Acosta was displaying “cosmopolitan bias” while the CNN reporter claimed the administration wanted to engineer the “racial and ethnic flow of people.”
During an appearance on Fox News’ MediaBuzz, one-time Trump spokesperson Katrina Pierson revealed her immediate reaction to the much-discussed confrontation.
“Look, full disclosure, I did send a fist bump text message to Stephen Miller after that exchange,” she told host Howard Kurtz. “Stephen Miller definitely re-educated Jim Acosta and CNN on the differences between green card holders and illegal immigration.”
Pierson went on to say that it was “truly unfortunate” Acosta would want people in the United States that “couldn’t speak the language” and read the poem on the Statue of Liberty.
In the aftermath of the showdown with Acosta, it has been reported that Miller is now being considered to be the new communications director, as Trump apparently loved watching Miller fight it out with CNN.
