Kellyanne Conway: Flynn Has ‘Full Confidence of the President’

After the issue was not addressed at all during President Trump‘s press conference today, Kellyanne Conway said on MSNBC this afternoon that National Security Advisor Michael Flynn enjoys the “full confidence of the president.”

A recent report that Flynn did discuss sanctions with a Russian official, despite initial denials of such, has turned into a major story with questions over whether Flynn will be staying on in the Trump administration.

There are reports this afternoon saying that Flynn apologized to Pence––who defended Flynn on this back when questions were raised––for misleading him.

Conway affirmed to Steve Kornacki that Flynn has Trump’s confidence, but Kornacki confronted her on the White House’s reaction to all this and if Flynn not being able to recall whether he did discuss sanctions on that call or not is good enough for the president.

UPDATE –– 6:26 pm ET: About an hour later Sean Spicer issued a statement saying, “The President is evaluating the situation.”
