Kellyanne Conway on Anderson Cooper’s Eye Roll: ‘Possibly Sexist, Definitely What I Call Trumpist’
Last week following the James Comey firing bombshell, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway showed up on CNN for a contentious interview with anchor Anderson Cooper. During their combative exchange, Cooper rolled his eyes when she talked about campaigning in Michigan and how she kept saying how they would win the state.
This morning, Conway appeared on Fox News’ MediaBuzz and gave her take on the viral moment, explaining that sexism and anti-Trump bias were likely at play.
“Possibly sexist, definitely what I call Trumpist,” she told host Howard Kurtz. “Which is many people who go on TV are treated like house guests, and then when we go on TV, we’re not.”
She went on to claim that everyone is now looking to create moments on TV that will go viral on social media and that it “really doesn’t help democracy.”
This isn’t the first time she’s claimed sexism was behind Cooper’s reaction, telling Fox News last week that she faces sexism all the time in interviews, including the one she had with Cooper.
