Kellyanne Conway Swipes at Colleagues Over Book Calling Her No 1 Leaker: ‘Leakers Get Great Press’

Kellyanne Conway appeared on Fox & Friends this morning from the scene of the White House Easter Egg roll, and host Abby Hunstman asked her about an upcoming book on the Trump administration that casts her as the “number one leaker.”

Huntsman noted that the book’s author, Ronald Kessler said that Conway was responsible for a number of leaks from the White House, and that she also trashed colleagues Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump in conversations with him.

“I have a great working relationship, and a great relationship with Jared and Ivanka, had dinner with them recently at their house”  Conway said, before adding that she spoke with President Donald Trump “at length” Sunday night.

“He knows and has said publicly and privately who the leakers and the liars are and have been,” Conway said.

Kellyanne went on to argue that when her name is in “a headline or a chyron,” it gets “clicks and hits,” and that the fact that she has survived a lot of other staffers and continues to serve the president “inspires a lot of jealousy and backbiting.”

“Leakers get great press,” Conway added. “And one day, Abby, I will have my say.”

“I really keep my counsel while I’m here,” she said. “People ought to think thrice about that. We learned a long time ago around here, that people who say ‘enemy of the people, opposition party, fake news, biased media,’ they can talk to the media all day long and nobody suspects them.”

A not-so-veiled swipe at Steve Bannon, perhaps?
