Kellyanne Conway: Trump’s 300,000 Twitter Likes and Fox News Ratings Show Kavanaugh Support

In the mind of Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump‘s Twitter likes and Fox News’ ratings are all the proof she needs to know that America wants Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court despite the allegations against him.

The White House special advisor gave an interview to America’s Newsroom on Wednesday, arguing that the president was just “pointing out factual inconsistencies” when he seemed to mock Christine Blasey Ford for her sexual misconduct claims about Kavanaugh. As she attacked Democrats for their “screaming and dreaming” in support of Ford as part of the #MeToo movement, Conway eventually invoked Fox News’ viewership and the likes Trump got in his first statement after Kavanaugh’s rebuttal to Ford before the Senate Judiciary Committee:

Conway’s take:

“If you look at the president’s tweet after Judge Kavanaugh testified he got over 300,000 likes within 24 hours. That’s a lot of likes for a presidential tweet and your own prime timeline-up on that same night Thursday following the historic testimony, you had 5.3 million viewers in your prime timeline-up. But it tells me that the president focusing on the Supreme Court and that folks who care about the Supreme Court are very focused on what happens here and many are disgusted with the process, as you know.”
