Kellyanne Trashes Dems For Not Standing When National Anthem Was Mentioned at SOTU

Kellyanne Conway called for Democrats and Republicans to put aside their differences and work towards bipartisan governance on Fox & Friends Friday morning — seconds after she slammed Democrats for “sitting on their hands” during President Donald Trump’s State of the Union.

Conway invoked the the parents of a teenage girl slain by the gang MS-13 to bash Democrats, who held their applause for much of Trump’s hour and twenty minute State of the Union speech on Tuesday.

“[Democrats] literally sat on their hands, when the national anthem was being mentioned, when MS-13 was being mentioned,” she said, before invoking the mourning parents who were Trump’s guests at the SOTU.

“And those parents, god bless their courage, and we all share their unspeakable grief at losing their daughters at the hands of these gangs

“They sat there when the president was talking about the bonuses the wages and the tax cuts,” she continued.

“So you see the two symbols right now: you see the North Korean holding up his crutches, and you see the Democrats literally sitting on their hands.”

And after that trashing, Conway apparently remembered that the theme of Trump’s SOTU was “unity,” so she made a last minute call for bipartisanship: “We hope that we’ll have bipartisanship as a means towards the shared ends of immigration and infrastructure and national security and other issues.”
