On Friday night, Jimmy Kimmel gave us a new edition of “Lie Witness News.”
In this installment, people on the street were asked about the “crisis in Wakanda.” If you’re not familiar, Wakanda is the fictitious country from the latest Marvel superhero film Black Panther, which is now dominating the box office.
Nonetheless, lots of people weighed in on the ongoing “crisis” and have expressed their concerns.
“Is it time for the U.S. to bring troops home from Wakanda?” the “reporter” asked.
“I think we need a strong presence there,” a man responded. “I definitely support our troops, so if they’re in Wakanda, I think they should, you know, they have a reason to be there.”
A woman was asked if our country should be “involved” in Wakanda, to which she said “no” because “we should resolve our own problems first.”
A man was asked if Wakanda should be “forced to share their vibranium,” the country’s fictitious metal. He firmly said it “belongs to their country.”
Another man weighed in on the Twitter war between President Trump and Wakanda’s King T’Challa, which he thought was “good” because “bad publicity is good publicity for some people.”
