Kirsten Powers to Bret Baier: Why Can’t Obama ‘Just Tell the Truth’ About Benghazi?

A panel on Fox News Channel’s Special Report expressed their thoughts on President Barack Obama deflecting questions about the Benghazi attack and the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservatives by implying that Fox is stoking its audience’s ire over non-issues. In conjunction with a tweet via former Sec. Hillary Clinton going after Fox, the panel of guests wondered why the administration has an aversion to “the truth” and apparently suffers from “Fox derangement syndrome.”

“I don’t understand why the administration just can’t tell the truth about this,” said The Daily Beast columnist Kirsten Powers.

She added that unbiased reporting has cast the administration’s early statements about the nature of the Benghazi attack into doubt. “The Senate Intelligence Report is not Fox News,” she added.

“When Obama talks about this as if he didn’t know, I think he simply is continuing a successful stone wall,” Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer opined.

Asked about Clinton’s tweet, conservative columnist George Will called it evidence of a “Fox derangement syndrome” among present and former administration officials.
