Laura Ingraham Mocks Sen. Cory Booker Over Remarks to DHS Sec.: ‘Bad Acting’

On Tuesday’s The Ingraham Angle, Laura Ingraham made it clear that she wasn’t on board with Senator Cory Booker’s “liberal stunt,” where he delivered a passionate lecture to Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nieslen over her “amnesia” regarding President Trump‘s controversial “shithole” remarks.

“Today was a day of histrionics and hyperbole on Capitol Hill, as the DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nieslen was interrogated by senators on the judiciary committee,” Ingraham said. “If C-SPAN handed out best supporting actor awards, a gold statuette would surely go to New Jersey Senator Cory Booker.”

The Fox News host played for her audience the clip of him tearing into Nieslen, where he said he had “tears of rage” when he was first told about the words shared in that now infamous immigration meeting.

Completely unimpressed, Ingraham responded, “Tears of rage? That’s actually bad acting. Give me a break!”

Ingraham doubled down when she referenced a story in which an undocumented immigrant allegedly broke into a Trenton, New Jersey home and raped a 6 year old girl. “Now, did Senator Booker cry ‘tears of rage’ when this story broke in his home state of New Jersey just a few months ago?”

“Booker’s stunt today was an attempt to reinforce the Trump-is-a-racist narrative,” she added.
