Lawrence O’Donnell Rips Tucker Carlson’s ‘Steady Stream of Lies’
MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell is hitting back at Tucker Carlson after the Fox News host called him a “moron” last week for saying that John Kelly “dehumanized” Rep. Frederica Wilson in a racial manner.
O’Donnell tore into Carlson by saying he’s “not a moron although he does sometimes try to play one on TV.” He went on to accuse the Fox host of lying about his exact comments, as well as the point he was trying to make about how they reflect Kelly’s upbringing in Boston.
During Tucker’s segment on O’Donnell last week, the Fox host spoke with conservative radio host Howie Carr, who was introduced as a “native son” of Boston. O’Donnell took serious issue with that characterization and wondered why Carr didn’t correct Carlson’s “steady stream of lies” before talking about how the MSNBC host is a “terrible person.”
“You’ve really got to straighten that up,” O’Donnell said. “And Tucker, the next time you want someone to tell you all about Boston, get someone from Boston. It’s not that hard.”
O’Donnell also noted that Fox News was duped last month by a pro-Trump “Navy SEAL” who fabricated his service record and spoke on the network.
