Letterman Slams Pence: ‘This Is Not the Indiana I Remember as a Kid’

Before last night’s Top Ten list — “Guys Indiana Governor Mike Pence (R) Looks Like” — Late Show host David Letterman addressed the controversy over Pence’s “Religious Freedom” bill, accusing Pence of defiling his home state.

“This is not the Indiana I remember as a kid,” Letterman said. “I lived there for 27 years. Folks were folks, and that’s all there was to it…Now this guy throws a monkey wrench into the works.”

“He held a press conference today saying that –” Letterman continued “– honestly, I don’t know what he was talking about.”

“Something’s gone haywire” with Pence, Letterman said. “It may be legal, but it ain’t right.”
