Letterman to Make First Post-Late Show TV Appearance on NatGeo

lettermanFormer Late Night host and revered television figure David Letterman is coming back to the small screen for the NatGeo Channel in 2016.

Variety reports that the retired talk show host will travel to India for the second season of Years of Living Dangerously, an Emmy Award-winning documentary series produced by James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

While there, Letterman will cover the country’s attempts to combat the effects of climate change its people specifically must deal with, and how those efforts — if any — are going. According to the show’s producers, the ex-Late Show host has never been to India.

Other episode hosts for Years of Living Dangerously‘s second season include Cameron, Schwarzenegger, Jack Black, Ty Burrell, Thomas Friedman, Joshua Jackson , Aasif Mandvi, Olivia Munn, Ian Somerhalder and Cecily Strong.

Neither Letterman nor his people provided Variety with any more information. It is, however, his first official television gig since leaving CBS.
