Rush Limbaugh said today it’s ridiculous for anyone to call the border crisis “Obama’s Katrina”… but only because the analogy lets Obama off the hook. He said Obama clearly caused the border crisis, whereas the hurricane wasn’t Bush’s fault.
Limbaugh said, “This Katrina comparison has got to stop… George Bush did not cause that hurricane. Barack Obama responsible for this.” He argued that you can’t compare a humanitarian crisis to an “act of God,” and the only reason anyone is doing so is to remind the public of Bush’s ineffectiveness in dealing with that crisis to hopefully make Obama look better by comparison.
The Katrina comparison has been brought up all over the place this week; Rick Perry called this border crisis Obama’s Katrina, while Democratic Congressman Henry Cuellar said this could very well turn into Obama’s Katrina moment.
