Lindsay Graham to Hannity: Who Paid For Christine Ford’s Lawyer and Polygraph Test?
Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) seems to be suggesting that Christine Ford‘s claims about Brett Kavanaugh might be a paid smear job against the aspiring Supreme Court justice.
Graham spoke to Sean Hannity on Fox News on Monday night, questioning why Ford hired a lawyer and took a lie detector test in August if she originally intended on remaining anonymous with her sexual assault allegations. Thus, he dropped hints that there might be an anti-Kavanaugh conspiracy going on here.
“It’s a 36-year-old allegation, its a serious allegation and everyone needs to be heard but also people need to defend themselves. I’m going to look at what she said about Brett Kavanaugh in high school and compare that to everything else I know about Brett Kavanaugh, including his denial and I will make the decision. Here’s what I want your audience to know: If Ms. Ford really did not want to come forward, never intended to come forward, never planned to come forward, why did she pay for a polygraph in August and why did she hire a lawyer in August if she never intended to do what she is doing? And who paid for it?”
Hannity called this a “poignant” point, and Graham continued by saying it will be up to the Senate Judiciary Committee next week to decide how to proceed based on the evidence they are presented with.
“If it was this bad why did not the Democrats challenged Judge Kavanaugh when he was sitting right there in front of them,” Graham said. “I think it’s part of a pattern. They can’t beat him on the law so they are trying to destroy his life.”
