Senator Lindsey Graham called into CNN this morning to discuss the attempted NYC terror attack, but he was also asked about the Alabama Senate race.
CNN’s John Berman asked if there would be a “vote to remove” Roy Moore were he to win the election.
Graham brought up the ethics committee and said there will certainly be an investigation, and if their findings “support the allegations of these women… that’s inconsistent with being a member” of the Senate.
Poppy Harlow brought up the possibility that Moore isn’t expelled and just serves in the Senate with everyone else.
Graham said this will be a problem for Republicans––”you’ll be asked about 10,000 times what do you think about Roy Moore”––and “the gift that keeps on giving for Democrats.”
He warned that this could end up defining the 2018 midterms, because Moore doesn’t come without “baggage.”
