Lindsey Graham: If We Don’t Go After Russia for Hacking, It Invites ‘Other Bad Actors’ to Do Same
Senator Lindsey Graham warned on CNN tonight about the potential consequences if the U.S. does not go after Russia for election interference.
Graham claimed that Russian hacked his own campaign account too and told Wolf Blitzer that “if you don’t stop Russia, China and Iran will eventually do this.”
He made it clear that Hillary Clinton‘s loss is on her, but he said the U.S. must take action against Russia, including imposing sanctions. Blitzer asked him about Trump’s response to these reports, and Graham said whatever Trump’s reasons for doubting them, it’s very clear Russia was involved in hacking.
Graham criticized President Obama for his inaction on this and said he wants to “punish” Russia for his actions because not doing so would invite “other bad actors” to do the same.
Graham concluded by telling President-elect Trump not to “be like Obama” and “lay down in the face of Russian aggression.”
