Lou Dobbs Dismisses Brian Kilmeade’s Suggestion Putin ‘Happy’ About Trump Criticizing NATO

Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs praised President Donald Trump tonight for talking tough to NATO allies.

He spoke on Fox News with Brian Kilmeade––guest-hosting for Tucker Carlson––and said, “I think that every American ought to be thrilled with what the President did in Brussels. He talked straight to the leaders of Europe and told them it’s time to start making sense.”

Dobbs echoed Trump’s complaints about NATO members being delinquent in their payments, saying, “Germany is the among the worst offenders among them.”

Kilmeade asked, “So if you’re Vladimir Putin, the best thing you would like to see is the breakup of NATO or friction in NATO. We’re having our arguments in public… Do you think he is happy about this and therefore do you think the President openly criticizing NATO works to Putin’s advantage?”

“I think he’s far happier about Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi,” Dobbs responded, “who are defending Germany in their absolutely unbalanced and mercantilist trade policies and the deal with Russia.”
