Lou Dobbs Praises How Trump ‘Handled’ Bob Woodward in Their Call: ‘Pure Gold’

Fox Business host  Lou Dobbs praised President Donald Trump for supposedly taking veteran Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward “to school” in a phone call regarding Woodward’s new book on the current administration.

“Today, story after story released [from Woodward’s book] — denied by the White House,” the Lou Dobbs Tonight host said tonight. “What was also released was I think one of the most interesting phone calls, between the President and Bob Woodward. It is pure gold.”

Dobbs went on to play the tape where Woodward can be heard saying his book will be “a tough look” at the president. Trump replied by saying “it’s going to be a negative book” and added that it sounds like it “is going to be a bad one.”

“It was sort of interesting to hear Woodward there, wasn’t it, sort of pleading with the president,” Dobbs said. “Maybe he wanted a trip to Mar-a-Lago or something, but he didn’t get that and he didn’t get the sit down with the president, either. I love the way the president handled Mr. Woodward.”

“It’s just fascinating, the characters in the fake news business,” Dobbs concluded.
