Ahead of next Monday’s season premiere of Louie on FX, comedian Louis C.K. grabbed a slice of pizza with ABC World News anchor Diane Sawyer in New York City for an interview about his life and work. In this preview clip of their conversation, C.K. told Sawyer the one thing that is really pissing him off these days.
“There’s a new thing where people are using the word ‘ginger’ a lot to describe redheads,” he said, noting that in the past it was something he only had to deal with when he traveled to England. “It really offends me, it really pissed me off when I hear it,” C.K. added, as someone who used to be more of a “ginger” before he lost most of his hair.
“It’s this thing that English people used to torture the Irish, who they were already torturing” C.K. continued. “And now, it’s made its way over here for some reason.”
More of Sawyer’s interview with C.K., including, presumably, his thoughts on the Common Core education standards, will air Friday night, May 2 at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.
