Maher Goes Off on ‘Morons in That F*cking Hospital in Dallas’ over Ebola Panic

Bill Maher tackled Ebola on his show tonight and said, “I’m not panicked, I’m just pissed.” And he let that show, really going after incompetence at every level on this crisis, especially Texas hospital officials who didn’t prepare enough to prevent a freakout like this. And as he did earlier this week, Maher questioned if the idea of a travel ban is actually a good one to consider.

David Miliband and David Frum both gave different reasons to Maher why it was a bad idea, including the fact that those West African nations desperately need help from the international community.

Maher was astonished that a first world nation like the U.S. wasn’t able to take on one case of Ebola before it infected others. And then he turned his ire to “those morons in that fucking hospital in Dallas” and even went into a rant about Texans “loving their freedom” from rules and regulations and it leading to things like this.

Maher said the CDC has “no credibility” because everything they’ve said up to this point has been wrong. And he made it clear this is personal to him because his mother was a nurse, believing that sending nurses into a room with an Ebola patient without proper gear is “criminal.”
