Maher on Apple: ‘Having Your Pictures Safe Wouldn’t Really Stack Up to Being Killed’

maherBill Maher tonight spoke with former CIA/NSA director Michael Hayden about Apple and the FBI, saying people take their safety and national security for granted.

Maher told Hayden he thinks Americans are too “spoiled” and “uninformed” to understand just how serious the threat of terrorism is. He said that “having your pictures safe wouldn’t really stack up to being killed” by a nuclear weapon.

He asked Hayden, “Do you feel unappreciated sometimes?” Hayden noted that people accuse the national security apparatus of not doing enough when a terrorist attack happens, but then complain “we’re doing too much” when they’re safer.

Maher even suggested that if another terrorist attack happens this year, President Donald Trump will be the end result.
