The main gist of Republican Sen. Marco Rubio‘s fledgling presidential campaign has been his youthfulness (when compared to 67-year-old Hillary Clinton). And so TMZ decided to ask him about his music tastes, because cool kidz and such.
The 43-year-old U.S. Senator has been labeled a hip-hop fan in the past, and he divulged today that his tastes have now veered towards electronic dance music.
“I’ve gotten into it a little bit with David Guetta, Axwell Ʌ Ingrosso, and Swedish House Mafia, and all those guys,” he confessed, conjuring up the image a White House covered in glow-sticks, neon lights, and bass drops on loop.
“And I’m still a Nicki Minaj fan,” he concluded. “She’s very talented.”
But somehow we doubt his Republican competitors will make hay of his music taste, perhaps out of fear of mispronouncing the artists he likes.
