Martha MacCallum Spars with Dem Rep Over Claim Fox News Doesn’t Care About Dreamers: ‘You Don’t Watch Very Often’

Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum and Rep. Sean Maloney (D-NY) got into a verbal scuffle after the congressman said he was surprised to hear concern about DACA recipients from the network.

The pair were discussing President Donald Trump’s plan to sign the government funding bill and to declare a national emergency on the border.

“What he did instead is he drove us down this blind alley, got a worse result for himself, making a bunch of conservatives and Republicans unhappy. He’s setting a very dangerous precedent that’s will to come back to haunt us, I will predict you,” Maloney explained. “The fact is he’s getting less money for the priorities he’s announced and the robbing funds from institutions like West Point for this is a disaster. It’s a mess. It’s on the president.”

“I’m just wondering what the DACA and dreamers feel when they look at this deal as well,” MacCallum asked.

“It’s the first time I’ve heard somebody articulate a concern for the dreamers on this network, I can tell you that,” Maloney quipped.

“That’s absolutely untrue. That’s absolutely untrue,” she replied.

“I’m telling you it’s the first time I’ve heard it,” the congressman insisted.

“Well then you don’t watch very often I guess,” MacCallum responded.
