Mediaite’s Rothman on Hannity: Dems Used ‘Deceptive Strategy’ on Obamacare, Now Paying the Price
Mediaite’s Noah Rothman joined Hannity Friday night for a special town hall episode on the Obamacare rollout mess and President Obama‘s waning credibility. Rothman said that Democrats sacrificed so much in order to get Obamacare passed in the first place, and for it to blow up so spectacularly in their faces once it started kicking in is the kind of drama only parallelled by the greatest of Shakespearian tragedies.
After taking a shot at the “incorrect promise” language of The New York Times, Rothman echoed the point he made in this Mediaite column, that the entire Obamacare rollout has been like watching a tragic drama in action.
“The promise has been broken. It’s a Shakespearian tragedy that every Democrat in this room would say the individual market needed to be reformed substantially, and in order to do that, they adopted a deceptive strategy which has poisoned the discourse.”
David Webb added that it’s in such trouble partly because they’re not getting the young people signing up like they need, while Jeanne Zaino had to admit whether Obama lied or not, he should have known what was going on in his own administration.
