Meghan McCain Goes Off on ‘Whitest Magazine’ Vogue: ‘Men Have Always Loved Butts’
Pivot’s Meghan McCain doesn’t like that Vogue magazine is declaring big butts a la Nicki Minaj as the trend du jour.
On Tuesday a Vogue article stated that, “We’re Officially in the Era of the Big Booty,” with the popularity of big-assed women like Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian. McCain, who sometimes shares busty photos of herself online, took issue with the piece on her show Thursday, noting that big butts have always been en vogue.
“To sort of deem a body type okay by debatably the whitest magazine that exists,” McCain said, “while black culture, latin culture have celebrated curvaceous women’s bodies a long time– now to think that Vogue is going to deem it okay, I think is complete and utter bullshit.”
McCain continued: “Butts have always been in. Men love butts. You know who doesn’t love butts? Anorexic editors of Vogue who want to make women feel bad for eating and having a real body.”
