Megyn Kelly and Guests Go After Alex Wagner’s ‘Blatantly Sexist’ Tweet

Towards the end of The Kelly File Wednesday night, Megyn Kelly asked her panel of guests to weigh in on a tweet someone from “another network” sent out last night about Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers’ GOP response to the State of the Union. Of course, she was referring to MSNBC’s Alex Wagner, who tweeted, “Living room. Lady on a settee. Where’s the needlepoint?”

Attorney Brooke Goldstein began by saying Wagner’s comment was “absolutely not” appropriate. “Alex Wagner has basically built her career off of parroting the Democratic Party line that Republicans are at war with women,” she said. “And then she goes and makes a blatantly sexist tweet.”

“To attack her for simply being a woman in that setting and being a conservative, being a Republican,” Monica Crowley said, was what made the tweet unacceptable.

“‘And she doesn’t look like me. She looks like a lady who should be doing needlepoint.'” Kelly added, in what appeared to be her impression of what she thinks Wagner sounds like. “Well, too bad.”
