Lawyer David Schwartz spoke to Megyn Kelly today and the prosecutorial NBC host grilled him on whether his client Michael Cohen, ordered someone to intimidate Stormy Daniels into silence about her alleged affair with President Donald Trump.
Schwartz argued that Daniels’ lawyer, Michael Avenatti, was implicating his client as the one behind the threat — though Kelly pressed him by noting that Cohen was one of the few people aware of Trump’s connection with the porn star at the time.
“You’re dodging, we’re talking about whether he ordered it,” Kelly shot back.
“Of course he did not order it!” Schwartz said — to which Kelly said, “How do you know, he asked him?”
“He never ordered a threat. He doesn’t do that…because he does it to someone’s face.”
Kelly continued to grill Schwartz, before noting that Cohen is experienced with ginning up hatred for his enemies — though Schwartz quickly changed the subject by pivoting to his intense showdown with Avenatti the other day on CNN.
Schwartz has been making the rounds on today’s morning news shows, telling CBS that Daniels was “desperate” to take the $130,000 she was offered in alleged hush money.
