Megyn Kelly: Media ‘Dining on the Carcass’ of Duggar’s Victims’ ‘Dead Privacy Rights’
Megyn Kelly scored a pretty huge interview in her sitdown last night with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. Tonight she followed up by talking about the media reaction to her interview, which has mostly consisted of much outrage directed towards the Duggars.
“How can you claim to be so outraged over what Josh Duggar did to his sisters,” she asked, “and what the parents did not do when the information was brought to their attention, and have no outrage over the blatant violation of those same daughters’ privacy rights here?”
She said Duggar’s sisters––who Kelly also spoke with––didn’t ask for this exposure, and the media is basically “dining on the carcass of their dead privacy rights.”
Howard Kurtz said this is what happens “in a world of selective outrage.”
