Megyn Kelly on Trump’s Muslim Ban: ‘Ceding the Moral High Ground’ to Obama
Megyn Kelly reacted to Donald Trump‘s proposed U.S. entry ban on Muslims by bringing up President Obama‘s comments about anti-Muslim discrimination and saying, “Talk about ceding the moral high ground.”
Kelly said that basically, Republicans were adamantly denying that there’s widespread Muslim discrimination and then Trump went ahead with it. She said it was “like he was getting ideas from President Obama’s speech.”
Fox’s Chris Stirewalt said that the discussion was turning to the GOP’s favor on terrorism, but with one statement Trump managed to make everything about him again and now no one will be talking about the president’s address.
Kelly said that’s clearly what he wants, and said that given how pretty much every network covered his rally earlier, “he’s very smart at manipulating some media.”
