Melania Trump Says She’d Like to Take On Social Media ‘Negativity’ as FLOTUS
Melania Trump said on CNN tonight she thinks social media negativity is a problem and she would like to do something about it if she becomes First Lady.
Yes, the spouse of Donald Trump––a man infamous for trashing people on Twitter and for having fans that engage in similar behavior––said tonight, “Social media, it’s very damaging for the children. We need to guide them and teach them about social media, because I see a lot of negativity on it.”
When Anderson Cooper brought on a panel to react later, Corey Lewandowski said that she deserves “credit and praise” for thinking about how kids get cyberbullied every day.
For the record, when Melania Trump was asked about a reporter being harassed with anti-Semitic abuse on Twitter for writing a profile about her, she responded, “I don’t control my fans, but I don’t agree with what they’re doing. I understand what you mean, but there are people out there who maybe went too far. She provoked them.”
