Michael Cohen: ‘I’m Going to Let the American People Decide Exactly Who’s Telling the Truth’

Michael Cohen spoke briefly to reporters after wrapping the first of his three days of testimony on Capitol Hill.

The former private attorney to the Trump Organization has been in the center of numerous investigations into allegations that President Donald Trump crossed a legal line in paying off alleged former paramours of his in attempts to quiet potentially damaging stories during his historic run for the White House in 2016.

After a brief introduction by his attorney Lanny Davis,  Cohen opened by thanking the press for “sticking around and waiting for me.”

He continued “At this point in time I really appreciate the opportunity that was given to me to clear the record and to tell the truth and I look forward to tomorrow to being able to in my voice to tell the American people my story and I’m going to let the American people decide exactly who’s telling the truth. So I want to thank you all again for sticking around. Have a good night. ”
