Michigan Judge Loses Temper With Convicted Murderer: ‘I Hope You Die in Prison’

Judge John McBain handed down a life in prison sentence to 31-year-old convicted killer Camia Gamet this week and when he did he let her know exactly how he hopes the rest of her life plays out. “I hope you die in prison,” the Michigan judge told the woman who he said committed “one of the worst cold-blooded murders” he had ever seen.

After Gamet received her sentence for killing her boyfriend, Marcel Hill, two years ago, members of Hill’s family appeared in the courtroom to deliver statements. Gamet reportedly rolled her eyes and interrupted them, leading the judge to forcefully condemn her behavior.

“You’re going to shut your mouth or I’m going to have some duct tape put on it,” he said. “You gutted him like a fish in that apartment. You were relentless. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed. You stabbed until he was dead.”

“I hope you die in prison as well” he said, agreeing with comments made by Hill’s family. “If this was a death penalty state, you’d be getting the chair.”
