Mika Brzezinski Blasts WH Officials Thanking Trump for Ending Child Separation Policy: ‘How Utterly Sick’
Mika Brzezinski slammed the White House on Friday, noting the administration can’t take credit for reuniting migrant families who were separated because of President Trump‘s now-reversed border policy.
Morning Joe addressed videos emerging of migrant parents having tearful reunions with their kids after being separated from each other for weeks or months. As Joe Scarborough noted that these families were divided by American policies, Brzezinski tore into Ivanka Trump and other members of the administration who have been thanking the president for these reunions — noting the president’s policy is the reason for their separation in the first place.
“How sick for someone in the White House to tweet, thank you to Donald Trump for these reunions. Because these reunions, they should have never happened,” Brzezinski said. “Thank you, President Trump? How sick. And how twisted. We are doing this with our policy and we are twisting the truth to make it look like the president created a happy day for these people? How utterly sick”
Brzezinski also worked in a dig at Laura Ingraham, saying the child detention centers on the border are not “summer camp,” whatever the Fox News primetime host has to say about them.
