It seems Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski has found a new way to amuse herself, at least on camera. On Thursday morning’s edition of Morning Joe, the crew was discussing the remote possibility that presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton could be denied classified briefings because of FBI Director James Comey‘s misleading presentation of the agency’s email investigation, and when regular panelists Harold Ford, Jr., Michael Steele, and Jim Vandehei correctly assessed that this would never happen, Brzezinski derided them as “hostages” to Hillary Clinton.
The quip apparently amused Brzezinski, because she repeated it four times during the conversation, without elaborating:
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) has officially asked Director of National Intelligence James Clapper to deny classified briefings to Hillary Clinton, making the request via a letter that he was photographed signing. Once presidential nominees are officially selected, they are entitled to classified security briefings.
