Mike Rowe’s CNN Premiere Provides Best Original Series Debut Ratings

Mike Rowe‘s new CNN show Somebody’s Gotta Do It premiered last night and broke the demo record for a CNN Original Series premiere.

The highly-touted premiere drew approximately 507k viewers in the oh-so-coveted 25-54 demographic, besting The Hunt with John Walsh, which drew 330k in its July debut.

In total viewers, however, Rowe racked up 907k, slightly less than the premiere of The Hunt, which saw 989k total.

Rowe’s show, in which he gallivants around America meeting people with interesting jobs, beat out The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC in both the 25-54 demo and in overall viewership, but still lost out to Fox News, which averaged 544k viewers in the demo and 2.7 million total during the same time slot.
