Mitch McConnell: I Haven’t Had ‘Change of Heart’ on Roy Moore, Hoped He Would Step Down

Mitch McConnell said weeks ago he believes Roy Moore‘s accusers and said Moore should step down, but Sunday he said it’s now up to the people of Alabama.

So when asked about this today, McConnell said he has not had a “change of heart,” emphasizing that he “had hoped earlier he would withdraw as a candidate, that obviously is not gonna happen.”

He said if Moore is elected and wins, “he would immediately have an ethics committee case.”

After McConnell’s comments Sunday, Moore tweeted this:
