Appearing on Morning Joe, MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell said she didn’t get to ask Hillary Clinton all the email questions she planned to during their Friday interview, because she was concerned that the Clinton campaign would cut the interview short.
Host Mika Brzezinski accused the Clinton campaign was trying to mitigate any potential damage from the interview by requesting it take place on a Friday. “You know this game, you saw the game getting played. It happened before your eyes, her trying to sort of answer, and more information coming out on a Labor Day weekend,” she said to Mitchell.
Mitchell agreed, adding, “We were told we had a 15-minute interview. I asked more than 12 minutes on emails before I felt– out of concern that they would cut it off, obviously– that I had to move on.”
“I couldn’t ask everything that I did want to ask,” she admitted.
