Mitt Romney Compares President Obama’s Promises To Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Vows
During a campaign stop in Council Bluffs on Sunday evening, Mitt Romney slammed President Obama‘s promises that he made in Iowa during his last campaign, likening them to reality television star/socialite Kim Kardashian‘s broken wedding vows.
“You know, I’ve been looking at some video clips on YouTube, of President Obama, then candidate Obama, going through Iowa making promises,” Romney jabbed. “The gap between his promises and his performance is the largest I’ve seen since, well, the Kardashian wedding and the promise of ‘till death do us part.’ ”
Fox and Friends’ Alisyn Camerota zinged Romney for his use of corny, sometimes passé pop culture references. “This is the second joke he’s made as far as I can tell on the campaign trail,” Camerota observed. “First it was Lucille Ball, comparing Newt Gingrich, and comparing the president to Kim Kardashian. I see he’s moved up his pop culture references from the 1950’s to current day.”
“Does this make Joe Biden the Kris Humphries of this whole thing?” snarked Steve Doocy.
Hollywood Reporter‘s Michael O’Connell reminds folks that this is coming from the guy who quoted the song “Who Let the Dogs Out?” on the campaign trail.
