In his 5pm debut on MSNBC, Ed Schultz trailed Chris Matthews’ 7pm hour in both the 25-54 demo and total viewers. Matthews pulled in 149K in the demo and 629K total viewers, while Schultz had 117K in the demo and 486K total.
At 5pm, Schultz came in 2nd in the demo behind Fox News’ The Five and third in total viewers behind Fox and CNN’s The Situation Room. At 7pm, Matthews was #2 in both the demo and total viewers behind Fox’s Shepard Smith.
