During the 10 p.m. hour Monday night, the first full hour after news broke that the U.S. had started conducting airstrikes in Syria, Fox News ranked #1 in the 25-54 with 534K viewers. Shepard Smith’s special report was the highest-rated hour of the night across all of cable news in the demo.

CNN also saw a bump at 10 p.m., with 339K in the demo and 882K total, the network’s highest numbers for the night. But MSNBC’s The Last Word at 10 p.m. actually dipped down from The Rachel Maddow Show’s numbers at 9.
