More Of The Same: Fox News Maintains Large Lead Over Cable News Competitors In October

Fox News was the #1 cable news network for the 106th consecutive month, and the network had the top 11 cable news programs in total viewers and top 10 in the A25-54 demographic.

Here are some more notes.

Bill O’Reilly had the top program, once again, in both categories (although it, like many programs across all networks, saw year-to-year declines). Sean Hannity was #2 and Glenn Beck #3. The next-best programs were Keith Olbermann‘s in total viewers at #12 and Rachel Maddow‘s in the demo at #11.

• As usual, FNC beat all networks (CNN, HLN, MSNBC) combined in prime time and total day (total viewers), and CNN and MSNBC combined in the demo.

• FNC’s new entry into its schedule, Megyn Kelly‘s two hour show, is up 13% year-to-year.

• On all of cable, FNC was #4 in prime time, followed by MSNBC at 24th, CNN 32nd and HLN 38th.
