Mother of 14-Year-Old Florida Shooting Victim to Trump: ‘Barron Goes to School — Let’s Protect Barron’
Lori Alhadeff, the mother of slain 14-year-old Alyssa Alhadeff, appeared on CNN yesterday and delivered a heartbreaking plea for action, begging President Donald Trump and other members of our government to do something to protect our nation’s children after the Florida high school shooting massacre.
Lori, along with husband Ilan Alhadeff, returned to CNN this morning and continued to express endless grief for the loss of Alyssa, who was just a freshman in high school.
“My child is dead,” she told Alyson Camerota. “We have to protect our children. We have to fight for them.”
She also had some words for Trump, and invoked his 11-year-old son Barron Trump.
“President Trump, Barron goes to school. Let’s Protect Barron,” she said. “Let’s also protect all these other kids here in Parkland, in Florida, and everywhere else in the United States of America, cause we earned it just like how you earned the right to protect Barron. You need to help us now.”
Yesterday’s emotional plea found Lori Alhadeff begging for the president to do something, anything, to help ensure these shooting tragedies do not continue unabated.
“President Trump, you say what can you do? You can stop the guns from getting into these children’s hands!” she cried. “President Trump, please do something!”
The funeral for 14-year-old Alyssa Alhadeff will be held later this morning.
